One recent scientific study shows how room design affects work, creativity and mood. The conclusion is that low ceilings provoke detail work, while high ceilings facilitate abstraction. Even more, nature views improve creativity, focus and memory.
The spanish architectural firm Selgas Cano succeeded at once to benefit from these advantages. The result is their unique office in the middle of the woods.

Today I’m inviting you to the loveliest little summerhouse. Located in south London this cute loft makes me whine. Natural light caresses the bright white painted interior while a poster on the wall catches my attention. Wait, it is not a poster! It’s a kitchen towel in a frame. Creative tricks like this made me like a kid in a candy store.
It won’t be soon until I get over the vague romantic feeling this guest cottage gave me.

The owners of this house in South Africa say that light and beauty are essential for them. In the process of renovation, they torn down the walls, so the sunlight could get in. The result of their bravery is outstanding. Now no matter where you sit in the house you can see the sky.
Sounds like a dream house!
